DOWNpour Oregon Wine Country Adventure
June 19, 2010
As avid wine aficionados, we like to sample the local offerings whenever we travel. But closer to our home base in Portland, some of the country's finest wines are found in our own backyard.
This year, we're partnering with our friend Amy LeClerc at DOWNpour to offer a series of day-trips exploring different facets of the Oregon wine region. In true TJG™ style, we'll be exploring the most unique and authentic aspects of our featured destination, a highly-curated afternoon of wine tasting, dining and discussion amidst some of Oregon's most private and exceptional tasting rooms. Join us for a day, or travel to Portland to make a weekend out of these DOWNpour excursions!
Our first adventure is set for Saturday, June 19th (9:30 AM-5:30 PM), and features visits to:
• Hawks View Cellars (Sherwood),
• Lenné (Yamhill),
• and Cana's Feast (Carlton).
This day-long excursion includes eco-friendly transportation from Portland, extended tastings and private tours, gourmet lunch with wine, and a few surprises along the way.
Cost is $125 per person - for more information and to sign up click here

SEATTLE ART WEEKEND
June 25-27, 2010
Up for a last-minute getaway?
The Portland Art Museum invites TJG™ friends and family to join the Young Patrons on an art-filled weekend in Seattle, June 25-27. Our exciting Seattle itinerary will explore the best that the city has to offer, from behind-the-scenes tours of exhibitions at the Seattle Art Museum and the Henry Art Gallery, a tour of the breathtaking Olympic Sculpture Park, visits to galleries, artist studios, private collections and more.
Of course, no visit to Seattle would be complete without a visit to Chihuly. In addition to touring the Chihuly Studio in Ballard, where large-scale and commissioned pieces are staged, we'll also visit The Boathouse, his former home and studio on Lake Union for a tour and glassblowing demonstration by Team Chihuly.
The weekend package is $375 per person and includes all admissions and activities, lunch at the Four Seasons and dinner event with wine Saturday, and transportation to events within Seattle. Hotel and transportation to Seattle not included.
